As you can see, the new SSD doesn’t appear to be connected in the “This PC” folder.
Now let’s quickly discuss the easiest way to solve this problem.
Go to the search bar on the taskbar, type “partition” and you’ll see “Create and format hard disk partitions.” Click on this option immediately without any delay.

In the Disk Management page that opens, as you can see, there’s an active disk alongside an inactive disk. Most likely, you’ll also see your SSD disk either side by side or stacked vertically.

Now, right-click on the SSD, M.2 SSD, HDD, or whatever drive you want to activate. In the window that pops up, click “New Simple Volume” without wasting any time.

A new window called “New Simple Volume Wizard” will appear. Just click “Next” without making any changes.

Next, you’ll see options related to Specify Volume Size, including Simple volume size in MB. I recommend leaving it as is and clicking Next.

This page is quite useful. You’ll need to assign a new letter to the drive you’re creating. Since the first drive is usually C, it’s typically set to D, but you can choose any letter up to Z. Keep in mind, this is a one-time action. After selecting the letter, simply click Next.

In the Format Partition section, you can adjust the file system, but I recommend leaving it as NTFS. You can also set your own Volume Label. After making these changes, click Next again.

We’re now at the final step. In the “Completing the New Simple Volume Wizard” window, simply click Finish to complete the process.

Dear friends, the issue of “new SSD not showing up” is now resolved, and you’ll see the newly added drive, like E, among your disks. You can also check by going to This PC, where it should be visible.

As you can see in This PC, the new drive, E, is listed among the devices. Remember, that’s all there is to it.
